Don Paterson (1963- )

Musician and poet Don Paterson Paterson is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2008. He is a poetry editor at the London publisher Picador and has taught creative writing at the University of St. Andrews as well as Dundee University. Nil Nil (1993), his first poetry collection, won the Forward Prize for Best First Collection; God’s Gift to Women (1997) won the T.S. Eliot Prize and the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize; Landing Light (2003) won the Whitbread Poetry Award as well as another T.S. Eliot Prize.
