Famia Nkansa is a poet, blogger, writer, and social commentator from Accra, Ghana. Her poems discuss sex, abuse, relationships, interracial relationships, mothers, and what it means to be African. Her poetry is visual, not just in language, but in form. Nkansa’s poetry chapbook, Sabbatical, published in 2017, shows this with the way the wind creates movement. The words she uses create a vibrant picture and ask deep questions.
