Morgan Parker (1987-)

Morgan Parker is a novelist and poet currently working in Los Angeles. Parker earned her BA from Columbia University and her MFA from New York University.

Parker has published poetry collections such as Other People’s Comfort Keeps Me Up At Night (2015) and Magical Negro (2019) as well as the young adult novel Who Put This Song On? (2019); she has been awarded the National Book Critics Circle Award and a Cave Canem graduate fellowship. Parker also co-curates the Poets With Attitude reading series and The Other Black Girl Collective touring poetry duo.
