Lyn Tranter
About
Lyn Tranter is the proprietor of ALM. She spent her childhood in Australian country towns. After working in England and hitch-hiking through Europe and across Asia, she married the poet John Tranter in 1968, and has been actively involved in the Australian writing community throughout her adult life.
Australian Literary Management was established by Caroline Lurie in January 1980. Lyn joined the agency ten years later, and in 1993 became the sole owner. She has travelled widely overseas, building the agency’s reputation and establishing strong links with writers, publishers and other literary agencies.

Submission Guidelines
Please attach a 1-2page synopsis of your work.
Please include in your cover email a little background information on yourself and the manuscript, noting also the word count on your completed manuscript.
Once we have received your synopsis we will then let you know within two weeks if we would be interested in reviewing the first two chapters of your work.
We will then endeavour to let you know within a four week period if we would like to read the full manuscript. As we receive many submissions, if we have not come back to you within four weeks please do send us a friendly reminder email.
All attached work should be formatted as a Word Doc or a PDF and should be set out with 1.5 spacing.
