D.S. Marriott is a poet and scholar from Nottingham. He earned his degree from the University of Sussex. He has published many poetry collections, including Incognegro (2006), The Bloods (2011), and Duppies (2019). Marriott has also published critical books, including On Black Men (2000), Letters to Langston (2006), and Whither Fanon? Studies in the Blackness of Being (2018).
Currently, Marriott teaches at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
